The Uttar Pradesh government announced to be constructed a new bridge over Yamuna to connect the Delhi with Trans Delhi Signature City (Tronica City) and Mandola Vihar Awas Vikas Yojna Ghaziabad, the sources of Delhi Government said that it had made no commitment to UP. Officials of the UP Housing and Development Board (UPHDB) it had only promised to look the proposal. On Thursday said that they had met Mr. Manish Sisodia(Delhi deputy chief minister) who had "intervened and said that Delhi would build the bridge and that he had given directions to PWD to take up the work on an urgent basis". A government spokesperson said that officials from UPHDB had met Sisodia who had only assured them that he would look into the project. While PWD denied knowledge of any such project, "It would be jumping the gun to say that we are building any such bridge for the UP government, the bridge is to be 1.7 km long across the Yamuna, connecting the Trans Delhi Signature City (Tronica City), awas vikas pariyojna Mandola vihar to Wazirabad Delhi. a government spokesperson of Uttar Pradesh government said that this bridge, if it is made, will cut down the distance from 20-25 kilometers to just 8-9 kilometers. At present the existing route from Delhi to awas vikas scheme mandola vihar and Baghpat is from Saharanpur Road, via Tronica City. which connects through a narrow two-lane barrage road over Yamuna. The project, as conceptualised by the UP govt will cost around Rs 250 crore and will be ready within two years.
