The proposed two-day Investor’s Meet by Uttar Pradesh Government will start from February 21 and will end on 22nd Feb 2018. Yogi government has planned this summit with an aim to woo investments to the tune of over Rs 3 lakh crore, in which Rs one lakh crore on the Defense Manufacturing corridor to be set up in Bundelkhand region. The Summit is expecting a large investment in UP which in turn will open vistas of employment opportunities in the state for educated youth to get jobs at their doorsteps and this will change the face of Uttar Pradesh. The Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, has set the venue of the investor’s meet. CM was informed about the locations where inaugural and valedictory functions will be held and was taken to the halls where different technical sessions will be organized, And this will be the greatest function of UP which had ever seen. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 21 morning and President Ram Nath Kovind will address the concluding day function on February 22 evening CM Yogi claimed that “Earlier no one was ready to invest in UP, but now the image has changed and almost all the top industrialists and investors have shown their interest in the state. The Yogi government is set to sign around 600 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the event. He said Uttar Pradesh is the land of vast opportunities and this government is simply trying to make use of all these facilities. He also said that This is unfortunate that UP’s potential was harnessed by private players, and previous government did not get anything. He said that now, we are coming up with such a plan where investors will get all the facilities under one roof. “This is reason as why UP has emerged as most favoured destination for investors, On February 20, the Chief Minister would host a high profile dinner for about 200 dignitaries including top industrialists including Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Tata Group chairman N Chandrasekaran, Subhash Chandra, Gautam Adani, Sudhir Mehta, Sanjiv Puri, Hemant Kanoria, Kulin Lalbhai, G M Rao and Subramanian Sarma. While on February 21, Union Home minister and local MP Rajnath Singh will host dinner for the guests. CM directed that Union Ministers should be received and should be seen off by the ministers and Principal secretary of the concerned department. He also gave directives to officials to fine tune the arrangements. The Police should make all arrangement regarding free flow of traffic while the power department should ensure interrupted supply of electricity.
