The Yogi Adityanath is leaving no stone unturned to make Uttar Pradesh corruption free. The Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana said that to highlight corruption in the previous government in UP it is necessary for all the development authorities to be verified by the CAG. thats why The Uttar Pradesh\’s Yogi government is going to audit the Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway and UPSIDC land deals.
While The Noida Authority had stated that it was not subject to CAG auditing as it is an autonomous body and does not get funding from the state or Centre. The CAG will not only do a thorough check on procedures, utilisation of funds and progress of projects but also it will scrutinise the terms of contracts, agencies, and contractors to whom the projects have been awarded.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi in during his Assembly elections rally in Ghaziabad had targeted the GDA for alleged land scams and also said that if the BJP came to power in UP, he would ensure a CAG audit of all development authorities including the GDA. which had been permitted already by the Yogi Adityanath government.
The UP government had sent an order to the GDA on April 7 to allowed for a CAG audit. even after the intervention of Governor Ram Naik on the issue The previous Samajwadi party government had denied permission for such an audit .
